For a number of years the Company also sponsored The President’s Solidarity Fun Run; another national event followed by thousands and loved by the majority of the population. The annual charity run aims to bring together all the Maltese in an effort to help those in need and also promote an active healthy lifestyle through regular physical activity. All of the proceeds of this event go towards the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, the nation’s biggest charity fund managed by the President of Malta.
In 2018, Lidl Malta was present with a branded stand and handed out about 8,000 cereal bars to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, around 8,000 caps were given to the participants in order to boost awareness regarding safety in the sun.
