Each and every outlet helps out various entities within their locality or close to home. In 2018 each shop took on one CSR project each, however, colleagues were so enthused that these became two projects for each shop in 2019. The NGOs touched varied, from animal sanctuaries to inclusive care foundations, with the aim of helping as many societal remits as possible.
Over the summer months our stores were very busy, with our Santa Venera team organising a delicious BBQ as well as donating a large brand new LED TV to the St. Joseph Home children, the San Gwann team sponsored a BBQ for the elderly by the Local Council and the Zejtun staff donated all the food and beverages for a pasta night in aid of the Paulo Freire Institute. Our Luqa members took on an environmental and heritage conscious project by planting a tree at the Msida Bastion Historic Gardens and also gave them a variety of tools to further their cause. The Association for Abandoned Animals was visited by our Safi group and given a large variety of dog treats as well as a brand new laptop whilst the Richmond Foundation was visited by our Mosta team and got a large variety of groceries as well as some kitchen appliances to stock up their cupboards and warmly greet visitors. Our Gozitan colleagues thought of the furry pals at the SPCA and provided them with a vast amount of food and treats. These projects went on during winter and collaborations saw our teams helping out other entities such as The Island Sanctuary, Hospice Malta, Action for Breast Cancer Awareness and various others.
Furthermore we collaborated with Id-Dar Tal-Providenza in 2019 and funded the renovation of their caring estates whilst also working hand-in-hand with several other NGOs, namely Inspire Foundation, Ten08, Equal Partners Foundation, and many others, to sponsor their various events and fund-raising activities.
