With 10 stores and more than 450 employees, Lidl is the leading supermarket on the Maltese islands.

The Top Employer certification is awarded to companies offering high quality work standards and exemplary work environments. This recognition is awarded by the “Top Employers Institute” following a careful study of the conditions in which company employees operate on a daily basis.

The "Top Employers Institute" has recognised the high quality standards that we have implemented in the management of human resources and has recognized us, for the 5th consecutive year, as "Top Employer Malta" and "Top Employer Europe" (having obtained the same national recognition in more than 5 European countries). This study looked into over 600 best practices in HR: Lidl Malta has proven to offer excellent working conditions, effective training and development courses aimed at our talent at all levels of the company, employee initiatives and advanced Human Resource Management policies.
